Pakistan players return home after Asia Cup final loss to IndiaBreaking

Members of the Pakistan cricket team, including captain Salman Ali Agha, Faheem Ashraf, and Hassan Ali, returned home following their loss to India in the Asia Cup 2025 final. The team’s flight touched down in Lahore as fans continue to digest another painful defeat at the hands of their arch-rivals. India once again got the better of Pakistan in the Asia Cup final, securing their third consecutive title win.

In a nail-biting encounter, India chased down the target in the final over, winning by five wickets. Spinner Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball, grabbing 4 wickets for 30 runs, while Tilak Verma’s unbeaten 69 off 53 balls and Shivam Dube’s quickfire 33 off 22 guided India to victory. With this triumph, India lifted their ninth Asia Cup trophy and extended their winning streak against Pakistan to eight matches in a row.

Attention has now shifted to the future. The next Asia Cup will be held in 2027, just before the ICC World Cup that year. Bangladesh will host the tournament, which will be played in the ODI format to give teams valuable preparation ahead of the global event scheduled in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.
