PCB announces talent hunt programme for schoolsBreaking

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a talent hunt programme for schools. According to announcement, more than 400 schools from 39 districts across the country will participate in the programme. In the first phase, teams will be selected through trials in all these schools. More than 60 PCB coaches will conduct trials in all the selected schools.

A 40-over tournament of more than 400 schools will start in the third week of September. The best 100 teams from the ODI tournament will participate in the Weekend Schools League. The Weekend Schools League will consist of two-day matches. The champion school team of the ODI tournament will tour abroad. The top performers of the schools tournament will participate in the PCB Under-15 and Under-17 tournaments.

In this regard, Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi said that the PCB will provide all the funding for the Schools Talent Hunt programme. Through the Schools Talent Hunt programme, children will also play cricket along with their education, Abdullah Khurram Niazi said.
