This move comes after challenges were faced in diagnosing players' ailments effectively. The PCB has initiated a search for qualified candidates by publishing an advertisement for the position. The consultant will be responsible for coordinating with national and domestic physiotherapists and trainers to ensure the fitness of cricketers. Candidates applying for the Consultant in Sports Medicine role must possess an MBBS degree along with a minimum of 10 years of experience, a solid understanding of sports culture, and the ability to make informed decisions. Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by October 10. The position of Director of Medical has been vacant since the resignation of Dr. Sohail Saleem, highlighting the urgency of filling this critical role within the PCB.
