Under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), cricket trials for Sindh’s youth aiming to make their mark at the national level are set to begin on Thursday.  According to HEC Director of Sports Javed Memon, the trials—organized in collaboration with Pakistan Super League champions Lahore Qalandars—will be held for both boys and girls from various cities across Sindh.

The campaign kicks off at NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi.  Following the Karachi leg, trials will also be conducted in Hyderabad, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Sukkur. The initiative aims to provide a platform for young cricketers to showcase their talent and pursue professional opportunities in cricket.

The opening ceremony will also take place today at NED University, with notable attendees including Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori, Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, PMYP Sindh Chapter Focal Person Fahad Shafiq, and HEC Director of Sports Javed Ali Memon.

Speaking about the initiative, PMYP Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan said, “Following the overwhelming response to our trials in Quetta, Balochistan, we are eager to witness the same passion and participation from the youth of Sindh. Our mission is to provide equal opportunities for young people across Pakistan to grow, excel, and proudly represent the nation.”
