A 25-year-old man died of a suspected cardiac arrest while playing badminton in Hyderabad.According to local media reports, the incident occurred during a routine badminton session when the man suddenly collapsed mid-game. Despite efforts to revive him, he was declared dead at the hospital. Authorities are yet to release an official medical report, but preliminary information suggests cardiac arrest as the cause of death.
The death comes closely on the heels of another fatal incident in Punjab’s Firozpur district, where 34-year-old cricketer Harjeet Singh died after collapsing on the pitch moments after hitting a six. Singh, who appeared to be in good health, was seen walking back to the crease when he suddenly fell and never regained consciousness.
Both cases have reignited debate around the increasing number of heart-related fatalities among young individuals, especially during or immediately after physical activity. Health experts say such incidents may be linked to undiagnosed cardiac conditions, lifestyle stress, or lack of regular medical screening, even among otherwise fit individuals.
