Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Information, Pir Muhammad Mazhar Sayeed Shah, has urged the Muslim Ummah not to forget the bleeding wounds of Gaza and Kashmir, warning that future generations will not forgive the silence of today’s leadership. Speaking at the Aalmi Ittehad-e-Ulama-e-Muslimeen Conference in Istanbul, the AJK Minister said Gaza and Kashmir remain unresolved despite repeated calls for justice under United Nations resolutions.
“These are two wounds bleeding before the world. Neither Gaza will fall, nor will Kashmir surrender,” he declared. Pir Mazhar Sayeed Shah said that Gaza has shown the world it belongs to people of truth who will never compromise on their dignity, while Kashmir, once described as paradise on earth, has been turned into a large prison where Indian occupation troops have unleashed a reign of terror.
“Kashmiris are killed, persecuted and exiled. Since 1989, more than 96,000 Kashmiris have been martyred, over 10,000 women widowed, and thousands including top Hurriyat leaders remain behind bars,” he said. He stressed that the genocide in Gaza and Kashmir has surpassed even the massacres of Changez Khan and Halaku Khan, yet the conscience of the world remains silent. “These are not issues of today but matters tied to our faith. Gaza and Kashmir have been calling the Ummah of over one billion for decades,” he added.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Turkey, Azerbaijan and Qatar for their consistent support to Pakistan in Bunyan Marsoos against India on the Kashmir issue, terming it a reflection of Islamic solidarity. He said Pakistan’s strength and eventual victory, coupled with the defeat of Indian and Zionist agendas, is the only path to the salvation of the Muslim Ummah.
