Pakistani, Chinese firms sign deal to expand pharmaceutical cooperationتازترین

Liven Pharma Limited said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s TOFFLON Science and Technology Group Co Ltd to support cooperation in pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing.

In a disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, Liven Pharma said the MoU was part of its Vision 2030 plan and was aimed at improving local manufacturing capabilities and supporting technology cooperation.

According to a Gwadar Pro's report on Thursday, the agreement was signed by TOFFLON Senior Vice President Michael Chang and Liven Pharma Chief Executive Officer Kaashif Hussain, according to the company.

Liven Pharma said the collaboration would help it develop into an integrated pharmaceutical and biotechnology enterprise and support the localisation of selected pharmaceutical and biotechnology processes.

TOFFLON is a Shanghai-based pharmaceutical equipment and technology company that provides process services, consumables, core equipment and engineering for pharmaceutical companies.

Liven Pharma was incorporated in Pakistan in 1991 and converted into a public limited company in 1992. Its principal activity is the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and allied products, according to the PSX company profile.
