The Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) highlighted initiatives focused on youth development, public recreation and women’s participation, including work on public parks and support for sports activities in educational institutions. Director General GDA Moeen ur Rehman Khan visited Padi Zar Park to review rehabilitation work, which officials said includes restoration of children’s swings, installation of recreational equipment, and expansion and beautification of the park.

GDA Director (Environment) Rasool Bakhsh Baloch accompanied the visit and briefed the director general on construction, extension and maintenance work, according to a Gwadar Pro's report. “Providing citizens with a safe, clean and peaceful recreational environment is among GDA’s top priorities,” Khan said at the event. He said development work at public parks, including Central Park and Model Beach Park, reflects the authority’s efforts to improve quality of life alongside urban development.

Model Beach Park is being expanded with facilities intended for women, aimed at encouraging greater participation in outdoor and recreational activities. “Urban development must go hand in hand with accessible recreational spaces for families, youth and women,” Khan said, adding that improved lighting, safer play areas and inclusive design are central to current projects.

Separately, GDA distributed footballs, sports uniforms and other equipment to students at GDA Public Higher Secondary School, officials said, as part of efforts to encourage healthy activities among students. Officials said the equipment was provided with support from members of the local builders and developers association and GDA staff.
