Police on Wednesday arrested a two member gang involved in motorcycle theft and recovered four stolen motorcycles from their possession, officials said. The arrests were made on the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Umar Farooq, following which a special team was constituted under the supervision of DSP City Circle and SHO Civil Lines SI Zaigham Abbas.

The team,including In-charge Jattowakal police post SI Kaleem Ullah used modern technology and professional expertise to trace and apprehend the suspects, identified as Zain Anwar and Wajid Ali. Police said that the accused, members “Shaka” gang,confessed during interrogation to stealing motorcycles using a master key from various points across the city.

They also admitted involvement in multiple theft cases in different areas of Gujrat. Four stolen motorcycles were recovered from their possession. Cases have been registered against the suspects, while further investigation was underway.
