DC vows swift action on civic issuesتازترین

Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Ahmad Khattak has said that all available resources were being utilized to resolve the district’s basic issues on a priority basis, with a focus on improving municipal services and urban infrastructure.He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of the Action Committee led by Chairman Pir Saleem Shah held here at his office.

The delegation highlighted key public concerns, including poor sanitation in streets and neighborhoods, inadequate drainage, shortage of clean drinking water, unannounced power outages, and the lack of essential civic facilities. The deputy commissioner stated that a comprehensive cleanliness drive would be launched on an emergency basis across the city.

He added that a special monitoring system is being introduced to improve sanitation conditions, while strict checks will be enforced on the attendance and performance of sanitation staff. Khattak further said that development work worth Rs 60 million is underway for the construction of new streets, along with beautification efforts through painting and maintenance.

He noted that steps were also being taken to ensure uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water, including the repair and restoration of faulty water supply schemes.
