The federal government has decided to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation (PASSCO) on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, according to the Ministry of National Food Security and Research. Federal Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain said the prime minister had directed the ministry to ensure the provision of wheat to the province through PASSCO to help protect people from the impact of inflation. He said instructions had been issued to ensure the immediate and effective supply of wheat so that consumers could benefit from stable availability of the commodity.

Rana Tanveer said the initiative reflected the federal government's commitment to supporting citizens facing economic pressures and ensuring the availability of essential food items. "The prime minister's move is a practical step towards strengthening food security and providing relief to the public," he said. The minister added that the relevant authorities had been directed to expedite arrangements for the wheat supply and ensure smooth implementation of the decision.
