In a surprising development, a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of Lahore police declared Gogi Butt as “guilty” in Ameer Balaj Tipu murder case.Prior to this development, a team of Organized Crime Unit (OCU) of Lahore declared Gogi Butt as innocent in the same case. Khawaja Aqeel Rashid alias Gogi Butt was a proclaimed offender in the murder of Ameer Balaj Tipu case from the last two years.

In his statement before the Joint Investigation Team, Gogi Butt rejected all the allegations. The investigation officer (IO) of the case started legal proceedings to cancel the bails granted to Gogi Butt.Earlier, the Court extended the interim bail of Gogi Butt in the murder case of Balaj, son of late underwordl don Tipu Truckanwala, till September 15, 2025.
