Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafiullah Jan has announced a Rs10 million grant for the Haripur Press Club during his visit, reaffirming the provincial government's commitment to the welfare of journalists.Speaking to the media, the minister said the government is working on several initiatives for journalists, including access to loans, residential plots, a pension scheme and financial assistance for those facing serious illnesses.

He also urged the journalist community to set aside differences and promote unity.The information minister further said that social media has become a powerful platform for communication. However, he alleged that some fake social media pages and web channels are spreading baseless propaganda.
