Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to enhance cooperation in security-related fields during a meeting between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Qatari counterpart, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral security cooperation and expanding the security partnership between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed the regional situation and matters related to peace and stability.Both ministers reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation between their interior ministries and agreed to enhance collaboration in the field of internal security.Naqvi said Pakistan was committed to deepening cooperation with Qatar in areas of mutual interest, particularly security.

Minister also expressed condolences to his Qatari counterpart over the death of his father, former Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. He paid tribute to the former emir for his valuable contributions to Qatar's development. Sheikh Khalifa said Qatar attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan and would continue working with Islamabad to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
