Pakistan brokered talks between US-Iran, “what the rest couldn’t do”: Omar Abdullah تازترین

April 10, 2026

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has said the US must “control” Israel to ensure the success of two-week ceasefire with Iran in West Asia, which has been on the boil for the past 39 days.  Omar Abdullah, talking to reporters in Srinagar, said Pakistan brokered talks between the US and Iran, “what the rest couldn’t do.”

Asked about US President Donald Trump’s latest statement on Iran, he said Trump “himself doesn’t know what he’s doing”. “He (Trump) gives different statements throughout the day,” he said.  Omar also criticised the US President for his language used on social media. “He should remember that he is the President of the US.

If you and I use that kind of language on social media, we will be blocked. We will be expelled from Facebook and X,” Omar said.  He added that Iran did not start the war. “The war was imposed on Tehran. Though the US claimed that the Strait of Hormuz was open, the reality is that Iran has been able to block it and charge tolls on shipping traffic,” he said.
