Protecting citizens' lives, property, prime responsibility of police: RPO تازترین

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Mekan on Friday emphasized that safeguarding the lives and property of citizens was the highest responsibility of the police, calling on personnel to remain courageous, united, and committed in the ongoing fight against terrorism. He expressed these views while addressing a police darbar here at Ejaz Shaheed Police Lines.

The event was attended by District Police Officer (DPO) Dera Ziauddin Ahmed, SPs of FRP, CTD, Sardar, Elite Force, SDPOs, officers from various units, and a large number of police personnel. The RPO termed his posting in Dera as an honor and paid rich tribute to the courage and determination of police personnel, acknowledging their frontline role and sacrifices in challenging circumstances.

He said their contributions would be remembered in history. Emphasizing discipline and teamwork, he directed personnel to remain steadfast, support each other during difficult situations, and face every challenge with courage and resilience. He also stressed the need for respectful behavior towards the public, noting that public trust is vital for effective policing and counterterrorism efforts. 

Highlighting the importance of maintaining peace, he said ensuring law and order in the region was the foremost responsibility of police and reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism will continue with public support. During the darbar, police personnel presented their issues, upon which the RPO issued immediate directives for their resolution.

He also reiterated confidence in Pakistan’s strength and stability, expressing hope that anti-social elements would soon be eliminated. To further improve communication and welfare, the RPO shared his personal contact number with the force, ensuring direct access for addressing their concerns promptly.
