Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan is ready to play a constructive role in easing tensions between Iran and the US.In an interview, he stressed that Pakistan is willing to participate in all efforts aimed at de-escalation and restoring balance in the region.

Tarar condemned the attacks on Iran and reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity with Gulf countries. He emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to maintaining peace and stability, given its longstanding relationships with countries across the Middle East.Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic track record, Tarar noted that the country has previously played a successful role as a mediator in resolving disputes.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, he said Pakistan is actively engaging with various partners and is well-positioned to facilitate dialogue. “Pakistan is involved in talking with various partners, and we have always wanted this balance in relations to remain,” he said. He added that Pakistan is capable of playing a mediation role among regional countries due to its strong diplomatic ties. The minister underscored Pakistan’s sincere desire to help de-escalate the situation in Iran and prevent further instability.

He reiterated that Pakistan stands ready to step in wherever possible to support peace efforts in the region. Addressing separate concerns, Tarar rejected allegations by the Afghan Taliban that Pakistan had bombed a hospital.
