Pakistan’s top 25 export products recorded mixed performance in February FY2025-26, with declines in key textile and agricultural items such as bedlinen and rice, while petroleum products and selected value-added goods posted notable increases, according to the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan’s (TDAP) Monthly Trade Report for February 2026.
The report shows that bedlinen remained the leading export item during the month, with exports valued at $321 million, although down from $365 million in February FY2024-25, reflecting a decline of 12%. Similarly, exports of men’s or boys’ garments (HS code 6203) stood at $232 million, down 7% from $248 million in the same month last year.
Rice, one of Pakistan’s major export commodities, also recorded a significant decline. Exports of rice fell to $187 million in February FY2025-26 from $259 million in February FY2024-25, indicating a drop of 28%.
Other textile-related products showed a similar trend. Exports of cotton fabrics (HS code 5209) decreased by 7% to $62 million, while T-shirts (HS code 6109) declined by 11% to $61 million. Jerseys and pullovers (HS code 6110) also recorded a decrease of 22% on a year-on-year basis.
Exports of made-up textile articles (HS code 6307) fell by 18% to $36 million, while hosiery products (HS code 6115) declined by 8% to $41 million during the month under review.
At the same time, several export categories registered increases. Petroleum products (HS code 2710) recorded one of the highest growth rates, with exports rising by 160% to $50 million in February FY2025-26, compared to $19 million in the same month last year.
Exports of cotton yarn also increased significantly by 45% to $73 million, while exports of women’s garments (HS code 6204) rose by 31% to $66 million during the month.
Other categories showing growth included exports of bovine meat, which increased by 32% to $42 million, and medicaments (HS code 3004), which rose by 24% to $28 million. Exports of other oil seeds and oleaginous fruits also increased by 60% to $26 million.
Exports of sports goods (HS code 9506) registered an increase of 10% to $29 million, while cement exports rose by 11% to $22 million during February FY2025-26.
Meanwhile, exports of leather apparel (HS code 4203) remained largely stable, standing at $47 million compared to $48 million in February FY2024-25, reflecting a marginal decline of 2%.
Exports of gloves (HS code 6116) declined by 17% to $22 million, while exports of worn clothing (HS code 6309) remained nearly unchanged at $26 million during the month.
The report indicates that export performance across major product categories remained varied during February FY2025-26, with several high-value textile items and agricultural products recording declines, while selected industrial and value-added products showed growth.
