“Any time I want it to end, it will end”: Trump’s comments on US-Israel-Iran WarBreaking

March 12, 2026

The ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran may come to an end soon, according to comments made by US President Donald Trump. His remarks came at a time when new reports suggest that many American soldiers have been injured during the fighting.

In a short phone interview with Axios, Trump said that there are very few targets left in Iran. He suggested that the conflict could end quickly depending on decisions taken by the United States. Trump also stated confidently that the war could stop whenever he decides. “Any time I want it to end, it will end,” he said while discussing the current situation.

The conflict began nearly two weeks ago after the United States and Israel carried out military strikes on Iran. Officials said these attacks were aimed at weakening Iran’s military power and damaging its nuclear infrastructure.

After the strikes, Iran responded with retaliatory attacks. Iranian missiles targeted several US military bases in the region. Some strikes also affected diplomatic buildings, hotels, airports, and other important locations in nearby Gulf countries.

Reports indicate that around 150 US troops may have been injured since the fighting began. Earlier official statements mentioned only a small number of serious injuries. Later, the Pentagon confirmed that about 140 US service members had been injured during ten days of continuous attacks.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said that most of the injuries were minor. He added that 108 soldiers have already recovered and returned to active duty. However, eight service members suffered serious injuries and are currently receiving advanced medical treatment. Officials have not yet shared detailed information about their condition.

Most of Iran’s missile attacks have focused on US military bases. Some strikes also caused damage to regional infrastructure, including oil facilities and airports. US military officials say the number of Iranian attacks has recently decreased. They believe this is due to ongoing US air operations targeting Iranian missile launch systems and weapons stockpiles.

Meanwhile, Dan Caine said the conflict has not been more difficult than expected. According to him, Iranian forces are fighting back but their actions remain within what the US military had predicted.

During the discussion, a reporter also asked President Trump about reports of a school attack in Iran. Trump responded confidently that he knew nothing about such an incident.

As the situation continues to develop, countries around the world are closely watching the statements of Trump and other officials. Analysts believe the future of the conflict will depend on both military developments and diplomatic efforts in the coming days.
