Assistant Commissioner Burewala, Jawad Hussain Malik, walked into THQ Hospital Burewala.

On May 13, 2026, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Burewala, Jawad Hussain Malik, conducted a widely circulated inspection at THQ Hospital Burewala during which he engaged in a high-intensity verbal confrontation with a lady doctor on duty.

He questioned her.

Insulted her.

Intimidated her.

And filmed the entire thing himself on his own camera.

Years of medical school, years of residency. It seems like a government hospital in Burewala is not an  easy posting, not comfortable one.

She was on duty. She was doing her job. And a man with a title walked in and decided her education. Her profession, and her dignity meant nothing in front of his authority.

Acs have the right to inspect public facilities.

But nothing in the Government Servants (conducts) rules or the Punjab Healthcare Commission guidelines authorities a male administrator to record a female professional on duty for public consumption without consent.

This incident has sparked a wave on social media, with many calling his conduct disrespectful and abuse of authority.
