May 14, 2026

Sindh is bringing 22 major sports events to the province — including its first-ever E-Sports Championship in Karachi.

Sindh government has announced full schedule of more than 22 major sports events to be held from October 2023 to June 2026. The decision was taken in a high-level meeting which was presided over by Sindh Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar.

Sports Secretary Munawar Ali Mahesar, Chief Engineer Aslam Mahar and representatives of the Sindh Olympic Association were present in the meeting. Officials discussed arrangements for 35th National Games, Sindh Games 2026 and popular Thar Jeep Rally to be held in near future.

First E-Sports Championship in Karachi
During the session, Sardar Mahar revealed that Sindh would be holding its first E-Sports Championship in Karachi next month. The competition is expected to attract highly skilled gamers from all over Pakistan.

Sindh Special Games in November

The Sindh Special Games with the theme “Hoslay Kamal Ke” (Spirit of Excellence) will also be held in the province in November. Athletes with disabilities from across Sindh will participate in the event.

Karachi will also host the 2025 Youth Science and Technology Expo in the last week of November. The expo will bring together students, innovators and industry professionals to showcase projects and build relationships with the industrial sector.

Sports Events for Young Athletes
At the same time, a series of sporting events are set to take place in the southern district of Karachi later this month, including Taekwondo, Karate and Table Tennis tournaments. The initiatives are to encourage healthy and positive activity among the youth, the Sindh government said.

Officials think the upcoming events will be important to discover young talent and to strengthen the sports culture in the province. “It is hoped that this long-term sports calendar will attract more youth involvement and give more opportunities to the athletes of Sindh,” the government said.
