A simple outfit turned into a social media debate when Dananeer Mobeen stepped out in London—and the internet had a lot to say.

Dananeer Mobeen is a Pakistani actress who is loved for her bubbly personality and growing acting career. Recently, she made headlines on her trip to London. The starlet was in the city to promote her upcoming film, Mera Lyari. The project is aimed at showing a more realistic and heartfelt depiction of Lyari, Karachi while highlighting stories based on local culture and talent.

While strolling through Notting Hill, her grey tweed co-ord instantly caught attention. Within hours, social media lit up—some praising her confidence, others questioning the styling.

There was a mixed reaction online. Many fans praised her confidence and nonchalant style, saying that she rocked the look with ease. But some critics felt the outfit didn’t do her justice and questioned the entire styling choice.

The film itself is creating a lot of hype before it is released. Mera Lyari will be released across Pakistan on May 8, 2026. The series features Dananeer in the lead role along with prominent names like Ayesha Omar and Trinette Lucas, while veteran actors like Sammiya Mumtaz, Nayyar Ejaz, Paras Masroor and Adnan Shah Tipu also star in the series.

Ayesha Omar, Waqas Hassan Rizvi and Sania Sohail are the producers of the film. Ali Sajjad Shah has written and directed the movie. With its focus on sports and community life in Lyari, the project promises a narrative that goes beyond stereotypes and highlights resilience, passion and identity.
