Setting up the Morning RoutineBreaking

November 04, 2025

Whenever we think about success, the first thing that comes to mind are a decent salary, a nice job, a luxurious house, a car, and a happy family. But in the midst of all these things, we often forget ourselves. We consider success as working 5 days a week and fully enjoying on weekends but all this only lasts as long as an Instagram reel or a Snapchat streak. What truly matters is what benefits our body and mind — things that bring us real peace, balance, and long-term happiness. The best investment we can ever make is in ourselves — in our health and in maintaining our peace of mind. It’s earned through time and dedication.

Before you start feeling hopeless and thinking that you’re not dedicated or determined enough, take a deep breath. Starting and maintaining a morning routine isn’t as hard as it seems. You just need to stick to it for two weeks — that’s all. After that, you’ll begin to see the results yourself, in the form of positive changes in your mind and body — and that transformation will become your biggest motivation.

Getting Ready for the Morning Routine

If you think your morning routine starts with the first ray of sunlight, think again — it actually begins the night before.

The first step is simple: avoid eating anything at least four hours before bed. Going to sleep right after a meal can really harm your body — trust me, your digestive system will be cursing you all night. Try this one change and you’ll feel much lighter and more refreshed when you wake up in the morning.

Next comes skincare, which is essential for everyone. A simple routine of cleansing and moisturizing is enough, but if you’re someone like me — obsessed with skincare and your vanity is filled with cleansers, serums, and toners — even better! Otherwise, just stick to the basics; that’s perfectly fine too. Great skin is about confidence and believe me, you’ll need every drop of that confidence to get through the day.

Also, make sure to brush your hair before bed. According to doctors, it helps improve blood flow to your scalp, which results in healthier hair. And finally, before you lie down, drink a glass of water. Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do for your body — it makes a world of difference.

Rise, Shine and Fuel your Day

It’s finally morning, and your alarm goes off. If your alarm tone sounds like something that could give you a mini heart attack, it’s time to change it — right now. A calm and pleasant morning starts with how you wake up. Choose something soft and gentle instead. There’s a reason why mothers wake their kids for school with love and care — that warmth makes them smile as they open their eyes. So, opt for a soothing tone that helps you wake up peacefully.

Now, kick off your morning just like you ended your night — drink a glass of water and head to the bathroom. If you can, take a shower, and you’ll instantly feel fresher and more awake.

The next thing you should do is make your bed. It might seem small, but it gives you an instant sense of accomplishment and energy — it’s like telling yourself, “I’m ready to own this day.” And please — don’t forget to apply sunscreen! You’ll thank me for this as you grow older. Sunscreen isn’t just for sunny days; it’s your skin’s everyday shield against aging, dullness, and damage. Think of it as the most loving thing you can do for your future self.

If your schedule allows head to the gym right after. But don’t go on an empty stomach — have something light like a banana, apple, a few dates, or some nuts before you leave. Think of it as a few litres of fuel — just enough to get you from home to the gym and back. Otherwise go for a morning walk. Later, make sure to have a proper breakfast to keep your body energized for the rest of the day.

Oatmeal and seasonal fruits is a solid choice. And if you are in a mood of something salty and piquant go for eggs, sausages with bread slice. Now you’re all set to get ready for work! And please — don’t forget to take your water bottle with you. Staying hydrated is one of the most important things you can do for your body and mind. It keeps you energized, focused, and glowing throughout the day.
