Surjani Town Triple Murder: Police Search for Mother’s Missing Mobile PhoneBreaking

September 16, 2026

Police investigating the deaths of a woman and her three children in Karachi’s Surjani Town are on the hunt for a missing mobile phone that they believe could hold crucial clues in the case.

The woman, Mahwish, was found dead with her five-year-old son Hasnain and six-year-old daughter Kashmirah. Her daughter of 18 months was seriously injured and was shifted to Jinnah Hospital where she eventually passed away.

The Missing Phone Takes Center Stage
Police sources said the officers searched the house after the incident but could not find Mahwish’s mobile phone. Investigators now want to obtain her phone records to see who she called and what communications took place before the deaths.

Mahwish’s husband Danish had called her before he returned home, and police claim he could allegedly hear her phone ringing on the call. The device was later found to have been turned off.

No Evidence of Forced Entry
Investigators looked for possible entry and exit points at the house. The only apparent way in was the main gate, police said, and there were no obvious signs of forced entry through doors or windows.

Officials also said it appeared difficult to get into the house through the roof. The weapon, also, has not yet been recovered.

Team Formed To Look Into

DIG West Irfan Baloch has ordered the constitution of an eight-member investigation team headed by SSP West Tariq Mastoi.

The team comprising senior investigation officers and the SHO of Surjani Town. Police are talking to relevant people and gathering forensic and other evidence.

Forensic and Medical Examination

The police surgeon said the victims had suffered a number of serious head injuries and extensive damage to brain tissue. Samples taken from the victims were sent for chemical analysis to see whether any intoxicating substance was administered to them before the incident.

Investigators are also questioning Danish. He had gone out, he said, to take his employer somewhere and returned to find the door unanswered after calling out to his wife several times.

According to the FIR, Mahwish and Danish were married for around 10 to 12 years.

Police are focusing on recovering the missing phone, analysis of call records and circumstances surrounding the deaths as the investigation continues.
