Pakistan’s first shipment of donkey meat produced in the Gwadar Free Zone has officially entered the Chinese market after clearing customs at Tianjin Port on Wednesday, marking a milestone in bilateral trade under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

“This marks Pakistan’s first-ever export of donkey meat to China and the first food product manufactured in Gwadar Free Zone to reach the Chinese market—a truly historic milestone,” stated Hangeng, the Chinese company, Gwadar Pro reported on Wednesday

According to the shipment label, the consignment consists of frozen boneless donkey foreleg meat, packed in 25-kilogram cartons and produced at the Gwadar Free Zone in Balochistan.

The product was processed for export under Pakistan’s veterinary inspection and certification requirements before entering the Chinese market.
