At the invitation of the Foreign Affairs Office, Karamay Municipal People's Government, Xinjiang, ,a ten-member delegation nominated by Municipal Corporation Gwadar successfully completed a ten-day professional training program in Karamay, the sister city of Gwadar.
The delegation was led by Chief Officer Municipal Corporation Gwadar, Mr. Makhtoom Moosa, and included Assistant Director Fisheries Mr. Shah Fahad, Vice Chairman Haji Hoth Saifullah, Accounts Officer GIT Gwadar Qasim Usman, Senior Instructor, Vocational Training Centre (VTC) Gwadar Mr. Shakeel Faisal, Livestock and Irrigation expert Bashir Hoth, and Environment Section Councillors Haji Javed and Mr. Saddam Razzaq, along with other members of the delegation.
According to a Gwadar Pro's report on Thursday, the training program was organized by the Karamay Municipal Government at Karamay Vocational and Technical College.
It focused on Meteorological Disaster Management, Climate Change, Livestock Development, and Agro-Technical Practices.
Throughout the ten-day program, participants attended intensive morning and evening sessions delivered by experienced Chinese experts.
The delegates actively engaged in interactive discussions, practical learning activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen their professional understanding of modern environmental and agricultural management.
In addition to classroom training, the delegation visited several operational sites where they observed the practical implementation of advanced technologies, disaster management systems, climate monitoring facilities, agricultural practices, and livestock management techniques.
A dedicated coordination team remained with the delegation throughout the visit, providing guidance and ensuring the smooth conduct of all training activities.
During the training program, a special meeting was held between officials of the Karamay Municipal Government, the Foreign Affairs Office, and the Gwadar delegation. During the discussion, Chief Officer Makhtoom Moosa exchanged views on expanding cooperation between the two municipalities in areas of municipal administration, environmental management, climate resilience, and public service delivery.
He also requested the establishment of scholarship opportunities for students from Gwadar to pursue education and technical training in Karamay, enabling the youth of Gwadar to benefit from China's advanced educational and vocational systems.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of commemorative gifts as a symbol of friendship and mutual respect.
The delegation also visited technical institutions in three nearby cities, where members interacted with specialists and exchanged views on modern technical practices, vocational education, innovation, and sustainable development initiatives.
