The Women Market in Gwadar has been formally inaugurated on April 23, marking an important step toward providing women with economic independence and respectable employment opportunities.

The inauguration was carried out by Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, who cut the ribbon in the presence of Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Governor of Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, MNA Gwadar Malik Shah Gorgij, along with senior civil and military officials, according to a Gwadar Pro's report.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister of Balochistan and MPA Gwadar Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch stated that the establishment of the Women Market will provide Gwadar’s women with opportunities to engage in business activities in a safe environment and will play a significant role in strengthening their economic position.

He described the initiative as a practical demonstration of the Government of Balochistan’s commitment to women’s welfare and development.

He further added that such projects are vital in providing dignified employment to women and that more initiatives will continue to empower women in Gwadar economically.

After the inauguration, the Chief Minister, Governor, MPA, and other senior officials toured different sections of the Women Market and termed the project a positive and welcome development for women.
