November 01, 2026

Director General of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Moin ur Rehman Khan, formally inaugurated Gwadar’s first tuff tiles and pavers manufacturing unit, “Zemal Crete,” established by Zemal Builders, during a ceremony held here.

Spread over three acres of land, the industrial facility has a production capacity of 18,000 tuff tiles per day.

The establishment of the unit is expected to meet the growing local demand for construction materials and facilitate ongoing development activities in Gwadar.

On the occasion, Haji Muhammad Sharif Zemal, owner of Zemal Builders and a prominent contractor, explained that the industrial unit had been established in response to the increasing demand for tuff tiles and pavers in Gwadar, with the objective of ensuring convenient and timely access to locally manufactured construction materials for various development projects.

Speaking at the ceremony, GDA Director General Moin ur Rehman Khan welcomed the private sector’s investment in Gwadar’s industrial development, describing it as a positive step towards strengthening the city's construction industry and local economy.

According to a Gwadar Pro's report he noted that previously, tuff tiles and other related construction materials had to be transported from Karachi, resulting in additional transportation costs, advance booking requirements, and delays in delivery.

“With the establishment of a local manufacturing facility, these challenges will be significantly reduced, ensuring improved and timely availability of construction materials for both public and private sector development projects,” he said.
