The International Organization for Migration (IOM), in collaboration with the China-Pakistan Youth Exchange Community (CPYEC), conducted a specialized mental health training session on self-empowerment and stress management for 21 volunteers involved in promoting bilateral youth exchanges.
Held here this week, the program was aimed to strengthen volunteers’ psychological well-being while enhancing the resilience and effectiveness of service teams engaged in cross-cultural exchange initiatives.
The training program, titled “Self-Help Plus & Stress Management,” featured scientifically structured and interactive content designed to be professional, practical and engaging, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
Activities included a lecture on the Circle of Control model, psychological healing exercises, thematic discussion sessions and a hand-painting interactive experience.
The curriculum was tailored to address the psychological needs of long-term volunteers.
CPYEC is a volunteer organization started spontaneously in 2013 by Chinese and Pakistani youth.
Ma Bin, head of the organization, highlighted that Chinese and Pakistani volunteers serve as vital bridges for people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, playing an indispensable role in cultural understanding, charitable assistance and youth outreach.
