Ayesha Bibi, an alumna of the Department of English at the University of Sahiwal, has received the 2026 Research Star Award from Hangzhou Normal University in China, Gwadar Pro reported.
The university said Bibi, a graduate of the Department of English’s 2021-25 session, earned the award in recognition of her research achievements, academic excellence and contributions to scholarly innovation.
The university described the honor as a significant achievement reflecting the growing presence of Pakistani researchers in the international academic community.
“Ayesha Bibi, a distinguished alumna of the Department of English at University of Sahiwal, has brought great pride to her alma mater by receiving the 2026 Research Star Award at Hangzhou Normal University China,” the university said in a social media post.
The university added that the award “reflects her outstanding research contributions, academic excellence, and commitment to scholarly innovation.”
According to the statement, Bibi’s success also demonstrates the strong academic foundation she developed during her studies at the University of Sahiwal and serves as an inspiration for aspiring researchers seeking international recognition.
Photographs shared by the university showed Bibi receiving a certificate during an award ceremony at Hangzhou Normal University.
Translated comments accompanying the images praised her support for university activities and highlighted the positive impression she and other Pakistani students have made in China.
