CM orders decisive action against corruption across PunjabBreaking

Punjab Chief Minister(CM),Maryam Nawaz Sharif has ordered decisive action against corruption across the province, resulting in the suspension, dismissal, arrest and registration of cases against 54 officers and officials allegedly involved in corrupt practices. The crackdown has particularly intensified in the food Department,where 48 officers and officials have faced action over allegations of corruption,said a handout issued here on Saturday. In Bahawalpur,six Food Grain Inspectors and officials were dismissed from service.

In Gujranwala, Assistant Food Controllers Abu Bakr Raza and Babar Javed, Shafiq, Ansar Butt, Muhammad Nisar, Senior Clerk Waqar Ahmed, Zulfiqar Ali, Muhammad Ali Shahin and Atif Hussain have also been dismissed. Food Grain Inspector Nadeem Shehzad of Sargodha, Assistant Food Controller Humayun Shaukat Bhatti and Chowkidar Razaqat Ali of Multan, Food Grain Inspector Rana Abdul Sattar of Dera Ghazi Khan and Food Grain Inspector Huzaifa Younas of Gujrat have also been removed from service. In Faisalabad, action has been taken against PR Chowkidars Allah Ditta, Abdul Ghaffar and Shahbaz Ahmed.
