The megacity of Karachi was rocked by three major fire icidents on Thursday morning in which a textile mill, plastics godown and a number of hits were reduced to ashes. A disabled person was killed after huts near Shanti Nagar in Gulshan-e-Iqbal locality of Karachi caught fire. The deceased was identified as 55-year-old Ayub. Teams of Rescue 1122 rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze. A major fire broke out in a textile mills Landhi Manzil Pump in Karachi.
According to the rescue personnel, the blaze was erupted in Orient Textile Mills. Fire-brigade personnel were at the scene to extinguish the blaze. Plastic godown catches fire In another incident, a plastic godown near Attock petrol pump at Karachi’s northern bypass caught fire. However, the firefighters managed to extinguish the inferno after battling it for five hours. Cooling process was underway till the filing of this report.
