Jamaat-e-Islami chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is with them on the issue of petroleum products. Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, he said all political parties were being invited to participate in the march to Islamabad.
Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said it was essential to eliminate mafias for the country’s economic stability, while the government was taking steps to provide relief to the elite. The Jamaat-e-Islami chief said that instead of introducing a relief package, the petroleum levy should be abolished. He added that all parties, including PTI, should be granted the constitutional right to protest.
