Wildlife deptt grants conditional permission for quail hunting till Oct 15تازترین

The Wildlife Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has granted conditional permission for hunting of common quail until October 15, 2026.  According to the notification, hunting will be completely banned across the province on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.  The department will take legal action against those who violate the prescribed hunting conditions. A maximum of 15 birds may be caught per day on a single licence. 

The licence fee for hunting has been set at Rs. 8,000, while the use of any type of electrical equipment for hunting is prohibited.  The decision regarding hunting was taken during the provincial cabinet meeting held on May 24, 2024.  Wildlife Department officials will monitor bird populations and the hunting situation, while permission to hunt may be withdrawn immediately if necessary.
