Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar has stated that a year has passed since the Pahalgam false flag operation, but India has failed to present any credible evidence to support its claims.In a special televised statement, he said the Pahalgam incident reflects a mindset based on hollowness, illogical thinking, false pride, arrogance, and greed. He noted that India has been unable to provide satisfactory answers to the questions raised over the incident.
The Minister said India has consistently portrayed its internal matters as external issues, while terming internationally recognized disputes as internal affairs. He emphasized that terrorism is India's internal issue, which it projects as an external problem, whereas the Jammu and Kashmir dispute is a recognized international issue that India labels as domestic.Attaullah Tarar said India's deceptive approach has been fully exposed.
He said the Pahalgam incident followed a familiar pattern of false flag operations historically associated with India. He said India adopted crude methods in handling the incident.He further said when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif offered an independent and impartial investigation into the Pahalgam incident, India avoided it out of fear and failed to provide any meaningful response. He added that Pakistan's intentions and commitment were clear, and India's refusal for an inquiry indicates the incident was a staged operation.
The Minister pointed out that the registration of an FIR within just ten minutes of the incident suggests that the document had been already been prepared, which is highly unusual given the distance between the site and the police station. He said international media, Indian civil society, politicians, and think tanks have also raised serious questions over the incident.
He said propaganda built around false flag operations and fabricated narratives is difficult to sustain globally, which is why, India has failed to establish a convincing narrative on the issue. He added that India neither presented credible evidence nor provided solid proof regarding the incident. Attaullah Tarar criticized Indian media for creating a war-like atmosphere and spreading baseless and fabricated news, stating that its true face has been exposed before the world.
He said the Indian media failed to present any convincing arguments and merely promoted a constructed narrative. Highlighting human rights concerns, the Minister said minorities in India are being deprived of their rights under the Hindutva ideology, while Muslims are subjected to violence. He said India uses terrorism as a state policy and has been involved in such activities globally. Referring to evidence related to the killings of Sikh leaders in different countries, he said these incidents indicate the involvement of the Indian state.
He added that India's policy of terrorism has been exposed following the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav. The Minister said there is no doubt about India's involvement in terrorist activities inside Pakistan. He added that elements like BLA and TTP are being used to destabilize Pakistan. He said Islamabad possesses undeniable evidence of India's involvement in terrorism, which has been shared with the international community and global media from time to time. He said there is concrete evidence of India's role in incidents such as the Jaffar Express train attack and the Khuzdar incident.
He reiterated that Pakistan is effectively combating the challenges of terrorism and remains fully committed to eliminating it. Attaullah Tarar said the entire nation is united in its resolve to eradicate terrorism. He said Pakistan will not compromise on its sovereignty, dignity, and security. He emphasized that all necessary measures will continue to be taken to eliminate terrorism, and the world is witnessing Pakistan's successful operations and sacrifices in this regard.
He said recent statements by the Indian military leadership regarding a new operation reflect their failure and defeat. He warned that any misadventure would be met with an immediate, effective, and decisive response. The Minister said Pakistan achieved a decisive victory against India in "Marka-e-Haq". He said India is still reeling from its losses, while Pakistan's success has been recognized globally.
He said Pakistan takes pride in this victory and has emerged as a symbol of peace on the world stage, whereas India faces increasing isolation. He said, due to the tireless efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan continues to strive for peace. He added that the country's political and military leadership is fully united for national defence and will take every possible step to safeguard the homeland.
