Even though Meri Zindagi Hai Tu has all the right ingredients for a blockbuster that is a strong star cast with Bilal Abbas Khan and Hania Aamir leading the show, and Ayra and Kamyar finally tied in marriage — the drama still left many viewers feeling slightly unsatisfied. Instead of delivering a smooth and meaningful closure, the story raised several questions that the audience simply couldn’t ignore.

First of all, where is the makafat-e-amal for Faria? She destroyed not one, but two lives, and what does she get in return? A warm hug from her mother and an apology. That’s it. It almost sends the wrong message: if your childhood was difficult, you automatically get a free pass to ruin other people’s happiness.
Then comes the biggest confusion of all, Kamyar’s emotional struggle. What exactly is he suffering from? One moment he claims he can’t live without Ayra, and the next moment he behaves like he still can’t fully accept her as his wife. His actions don’t match his words, and it honestly feels like the drama is forcing unnecessary tension just to stretch the storyline. And nobody can ignore the video; it’s eye witnessing evidence so it’s truly not Ayra’s mistake then why Kamyar is blaming Ayra and doing parties with Faria who is the main culprit?
Another strange point was Falak encouraging Ayra to visit Khawar’s mother. Why? How does that even make sense in the current plot? It felt unrealistic and out of place. There was no need of it honestly.
Also, let’s talk about Nafeesa’s sudden change of heart. After one conversation with Ayra, she instantly shifts her mindset of 20+ years and accepts her husband’s apology. What did Ayra say or better yet, what magic she did on Nafeesa as she quicky changed her mind? Because that transformation seemed way too magical to be believable.
And speaking of Nafeesa, why did she stay in such a toxic and compromising marriage for so long? It wasn’t her son, since she barely gave him attention. Society wasn’t the reason either, because people already mocked her. So, what was it? Comfort? Money? Habit? The drama never gives a clear explanation that why she stayed?
Lastly, fans were disappointed because instead of giving us more meaningful romantic moments between Ayra and Kamyar, the drama kept focusing on side characters like Kamyar’s parents and Faria’s family drama. Viewers were craving emotional bonding and romance, not unnecessary fillers.
Overall, the drama had massive potential, but these loopholes made it less impactful than it could have been.
What do you think were these flaws noticeable to you too?
