Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has stressed the need for increased public awareness about the critical need of regular blood donations for patients. In his message, on World Blood Donor Day, Prime Minister said the Day is commemorated to pay a global tribute to voluntary heroes who selflessly donate blood to join a noble cause of giving a second chance to live to millions of human beings. 

Prime Minister Shehbaz said that the Government of Pakistan is fully sensitized to the situation and through National Blood Transfusion Program, Blood donation awareness campaigns are aiming to address this challenge. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif urged every healthy and compassionate citizen, especially youth to realize their civic duty and serve the humanitarian cause by donating blood.
