Various circles of the society have termed the Punjab Budget 2025-26 as balanced and people-friendly and said that it will help in improving life style of the masses besides mitigating their problems by boosting economic activities in the province. Giving reaction on provincial budget, former state minister Hajji Muhammad Akram Ansari said that Punjab government has presented a people-friendly budget by allocating maximum funds for development projects as well as for agriculture, health and education sectors.
He said that allocation of a record amount of Rs.1240 billion for development programs will help in accelerating pace of progress and prosperity whereas Rs.123 billion allocated for agriculture will play a vital role in mitigating financial problems of the farmers. It will also help transform this sector on modern scientific lines besides boosting up agriculture productivity in the province.
Similarly, the Punjab government has allocated Rs.148 billion for education sector which clearly indicates that the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz is committed and sincere to provide best educational facilities at doorsteps of the masses. Member National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Muhammad Shehbaz Babar Gujjar said that the government has allocated Rs.181 billion for health sector which will help in provision of quality health facilities at doorsteps of the masses especially living in far-flung rural areas.
He also appreciated the Punjab budget and said that the government has rightly focused on development projects and its foresighted policies will surely overcome the menace of unemployment and poverty in the province. He also termed the Punjab budget as historic one and said that Punjab government is committed to implement people’s welfare and betterment policies.
According to former parliamentarian Mian Abdul Mannan, the budget of Punjab government is balanced and people-friendly. Allocation of huge funds for development will help in bringing qualitative as well as quantitative change in socioeconomic life style of the people, he added. He said that the government has focused on the development which would help in provision of basic amenities at doorsteps of the people.
